Gloves: what to know
Goatskin gloves are the standard for beekeeping -- thin enough to feel what you are doing, thick enough to stop stings. Cowhide gloves are thicker and harder to work in. Some experienced beekeepers prefer thin nitrile gloves or no gloves at all for better sensitivity. Gloves with long gauntlet cuffs protect the wrist gap between suit and glove.
